The Anchors Aweigh! art trail took place around Woodbridge from July 27 to September 1 2023. The anchors were then on display in an interactive anagram art trail at Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music in Elmhurst Park on Saturday 2 September.

The anchors were displayed along Woodbridge’s high streets and historic riverside area at The Boathouse & Deli Wine Bar, The Galley: Creamery & Deli, Gallery East, Lamoi, Lilac and Thyme, New Street Market, Suffolk Building Society, The Tea Hut, Woodbridge Books, Woodbridge Library, Woodbridge Museum and Woodbridge Tide Mill. Over 800 maps were distributed and people had a great time discovering Woodbridge and finding the anchors.

“This was absolutely fantastic - we really enjoyed finding the anchors! We visited places in Woodbridge that we hadn’t been to before and as a family we loved looking at how each organisation had created their anchor. Not only fun and creative, this trail also raised the profile of the different organisations who created the anchors who all clearly do important work.” Isobel
